I honestly think it was improved a LITTLE bit over the last one. But truth be told, it wasn't all too bad. Each one improves in a way. Maybe it was just to keep the same feel of the second game going? But the truth is, it doesn't really matter. It was just another game. I don't see too many games on the PS3 using graphics you couldn't find on the original Xbox.

Finally, I'd like to say that it's a proven fact that God Hates Fanboys. Those of you who just keep jabbering on saying that the 360 is better and all this that and the other...give it a rest already. They're both good systems. I like the 360 a little better because it's got a better library and it didn't cost me 600 dollars when it first came out. Just calm down already. It's not like having one means you have a small penis! Give it a rest.

Most of you people are stupid come on THIS GUY WOULD HAVE PROBABLY HAD TO PROGRAM ON THE BLOODY THING. Listen well "kids" although in school they show you how to do things the "right way" in the real world you sometimes have to cut corners and its very different from learning and reading (which most of you have probably done) then actually doing it.

I use both ps3 and xbox and really find no difference between them (well not much) it is like choosing homebase garden furniture over argos garden furniture there is little difference and most of the parts are made by the same people, the engines are slightly difference and in some games you can see this, the ps3 has better graphics with some the xbox others, same with speed and ports.

just wanted to say Guitar Hero is a rip off of konami's bemani siries "Guitar Freaks" red octane started there buisness making 3rd party accesorys for ddr and guitar freaks. when they made there own game with harmonix. they took frequency/amplatude. a game "inspired" by a konami game called "beatmania" only tons better and used the same "improvment" to turn a 3 button guitar game into a 5 button one.

Rockband is essentually another atempt at bringing konami's bemani to the usa. there is another game called "Drum Mania" this game links with guitar freaks to let you play instraments in a digital band.

December, 1997 (Arcade) - Beatmania

February 1999 - guitar freaks first game

November 20, 2001 - Frequency by harmonix for sony's ps2

harmonix did work on improving what konami's offerings where in the usa.

in the usa beatmania IIDX came out for the ps2 but it sufferd a slow sale do to lack of marketing. and lack of backing from KOA. personaly if they just ported the Japanese versions directly they would sell tons of copys but licencing is a issue i guess. mainly why harmonix is a really spiffy company. its like they found a loophole in copy rights so they can make "britny spears toxic or some other songs" for karioki rev and not get sued. i really dont know how they pulled it off but i am not complaining.

I find it funny that there are so many people on here commenting that are just full of shit. I'm digging through my blog archives for an update. I mirrored this entire rant for extra safety.

This is a man who knows precisely what he's talking about. He's a freaking multi-platform games designer. And he doesn't have to be freaking Jade Raymond to know what he's talking about. If he's lower down in the ranks, he's going to be more knowledgable.

To all of the people who commented on here who are biased in position for the PS3, 360, or Wii, you all suck. It's fanboys like you that make me not want to be called a gamer anymore. Learn how to enunciate properly, think for yourself, and come to the obvious realisation any rational man would have that the PS3 is a very poorly designed piece of hardware.

You can play it, you can love it, and that's fine by me. Have fun playing Heavenly Sword or whatever! Really! But don't think for a single second that the PS3 you have purchased is a good development platform. It isn't.

If we consider the consoles carefully the 360 has had more time to evolve than the ps3 in the market place, I am not defending or promoting either (i have both) and some games seem better on the ps3 and some on the 360, the blueray function at the moment is not really an issue, great for movies like you said and by all accounts at the moment better than a dedicated blueray dvd player, 360 is going to go blueray and will (I believe there are plans in the pipeline), I spend a fair bit of time online and on PC's for web design leeds and always come across sites that pro one console or pro the other, there will always be battles between consoles and at the end of the day it will be down to the individual gamers preference, I love my playstation and always have, but the 360 is a great console too, my verdict is undecided, both have pros and cons and as far as I am concerned it is an even match. If i was to choose just one it would take a lot of consideration to make a choice.

The only real reason why the xbox360 games look better than the ps3
is the fact that the games are ports.
If you compare gt5 prologue(not a port) to any

i would be more convinced by this article if, as its author says, ps3 exclusives sucked and had poor graphics or something....they don't...they're some of the most stunning games out right now: Ratchet, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword...even Genji looks freakin' amazing even if it's not the best game...i'd like to see links on the Insomniac duplicate data "work-around". whatever they did, RFOM is pretty solid.
